Animal Models of Infectious Disease

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious diseases has launched a new resource for qualified investigators in animal models of Infectious Diseases (AMOID) http://www.niaid.nih.gov/labsandresources/resources/dmid/animalmodels/Pages/default.aspx.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio has several NIH/NIAID supported task orders to evaluate investigational agents for in vivo activity against different pathogens under AMOID. Below is a brief summary of these task orders:

Task Order A05 – In vivo evaluation of investigational agents against aspergillosis. We can also provide samples for the evaluation of diagnostic assays under this task order.

Task Order A13 – In vivo evaluation of investigational agents against candidiasis and mucormycosis.
